I have owned my 1996 Chevrolet Blazer since 2001. The original owner took great care of this vehicle as have I. I had heard that they were great vehicles and it was so affordable at the car dealership I was looking at that I just could not pass it up. I have had the normal wear and tear issues that ALL SUV's have but a bit test came when last winter I hit a deer going 40 MPH. I never even MOVED in my seat when i slammed into that deer.
The blazer protected me completely even though its front end was SMASHED. My insurance company agreed to fix it and it has been fine ever since except for the 4X4 is finicky. WE have taken it to various shops and they don't see the problem but when we put it into 4 wheel drive it clunks. I was VERY nervous that my vehicle would never be the same after the accident but it has been surprisingly great. I will definetly think about purchasing another Chevy vehicle after all the great years this blazer has given me. The fabric on the seats is still completely intact and there is no fading on the dash, fabric or consoles.
